Just by way of you reading this page, you know that soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Certainly, it has the most participants. However, despite this fact, strength and conditioning programs for soccer are often neglected or outdated. Except at the professional level, many athletes and coaches still focus only on skill development and endurance training (i.e.- running), and ignore the other important elements of fitness such as:

  • Strength and strength endurance training
  • Speed and power
  • Injury prevention
  • Flexibility, warming up and cooling down
  • Agility training
  • Nutrition

However, at Titans FC we understand that a holistic approach to training in soccer is necessary to allow our players to develop and flourish. Ultimately, to keep them playing, and playing well, so they can reach their individual soccer goals. Kicking a ball twice a week on the training field and a game on the weekend, while taxing, certainly isn't what it takes to be at the peak of your game. That is before we mention keeping injuries at bay and hoping to mitigate the natural aches and pains of a growing child that otherwise could prevent them from playing.

Titans FC has partnered with MVP Performance, the preferred provider for the Seattle Sounders, to produce strength & conditioning programs, injury prevention programs, targeted event preparation, and/or complete competitive development. Training with MVP can also target seasonal phasing (off-season, in-season, transition).

Our point of contact at MVP, and the man behind the program itself, is Josh Lundy. Josh spent 6 years as the strength & conditioning coach for the San Jose Sharks NHL team. We are very proud to partner with MVP and as our programs become available, we will post them at the top of this page.
