This is where the FUN begins! Micro/recreation soccer allows our youngest players to continue to enjoy the game while embracing new players that want to learn how to play. Our Micro/recreation soccer program lets players aged 4-7 play with their friends, close to home. The progression is to one short practice session per week with a parent coach and in-house small sided games on a Saturday morning. This is all about playing and learning, making friends, and enjoying some exercise! The FUN is not lost while we introduce a little more structure into the sport.

Micro soccer is designed to be fun and safe for players and stress free for the parents! The idea is to let our young players get out there, learn, get plenty of touches on the ball, and burn off some energy!

The structure is small sided 4 v 4 games (as per USSF recommendations) with a total of 8 players on each team. The emphasis is on playing and lots of it so there will be plenty of time for rest and drinks breaks for each player. Rolling substitutions will keep the game progressing and keep the little ones engaged in the fast action!

The fun and action begins in the spring of 2019. Keep checking back for more information. Or, if you want to put your name down early (as it is sure to fill up FAST!) please contact our Micro/recreation director, Jack Sturgess below.

Teams are formed starting in mid-February. Coaches will contact the players after March 1st to let everyone know where to meet on the first day.

*NOTE girls and boys U6 and U7 will likely be combined in  mixed teams. Every effort will be made to group schoolmates and friend requests on those teams.

Players will begin the Micro Soccer program in Spring, 2019. The season will run for 8 weeks. Practices will take place on Wednesday evenings 7-8pm, location TBD. The program includes skill development and 4-a-side games with a maximum of 8 players on each team roster.

Micro teams are coached by parent volunteers. No prior experience is necessary! A coaching clinic for the parent volunteers will be held in late February. Please contact the Micro/recreation director (above) if you would like to coach a team. Please give it a try! Not only is it fun but to experience the feeling of teaching a child something knew is why we begin the rewarding job of coaching soccer!

Micro/recreation soccer is a parent-assisted program under the direction of Jack Sturgess, Titans FC Senior Coach coach and United Soccer Coaches "National Diploma" licensee. Jack began his soccer coaching career with micro-aged children and you can too!
