We begin our first February installment of the Titan Weekly Report with the B03 Navy team who have climbed to the top of the Super League table.  The boys had two tough games this weekend, but Coach Lee and the team were ready for the challenge.  In their first matchup against FPSC Fury, the boys dominated the game controlling the possession battle, rattled the bar a few times, and put their defense under a ton of pressure.  The opposing keeper made some incredible saves, but this never deflated the boys’ confidence.  Yadita had himself weekend and scored two incredible goals against the Fury to give the Titans a great 2-1 victory.

In their second match against Emerald City, their performance the day before carried over and the boys played with a tremendous amount of confidence.  Emerald City created some great opportunities, but the boys dominated the game for the most part.  Coach Lee was pleased with the intellectual style of play these boys bring to the pitch.  The boys were combining all over the field, making dynamic runs, and the attacking show they put on for the fans was incredible.  The final score was 3-0 and they now sit on top of the table with one more game remaining against Lake Hills.

Coach Jack and the G07s were back in action this weekend! The girls come into the Spring season after their immaculate Fall season where they were crowned league champions.  They have advanced a division and are competing against much stronger competition.  Their first opponent was Seattle Celtic and the girls came flying out of the gates grabbing a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.  However, the girls conceded two quick goals at the start of the second half to go down 3-2.  The girls couldn’t quite spark a comeback and fell short at the final whistle.  Coach Jack and the girls will look to bounce back next weekend when they compete against ISC Gunners.

Coach Keenan and the B07 Navy team started off their season with a great performance over FPSC Fury.  The boys had an excellent season in the Fall and are looking to improve on a couple areas of their game in the Spring to help them reach the top of the league.  The boys came out firing on all cylinders and amassed a 4-0 victory thanks to some quality performances from Shuya Sato and Sebastian Ter Meulen. Shuya played an integral part in the team’s movement going forward  and Sebastian got himself a hat trick with some creative play going at goal.  The boys will look to double their win record next weekend when they compete against Seattle Celtic.

Coach Mario and the B07 White team had an even bigger result in their favor.  The B07 White team faced off against Emerald City at Robinswood Park and came out with a 9-1 win! The boys were playing as a unit and Coach Mario was pleased with the way the boys carried themselves as a team.  The team were unselfish, creative, and innovative in their attack.  Defensively, the boys were tough to beat and were constantly buzzing around the ball.  The boys will look to get a result next weekend!

The B06 Navy Mercer Island team had their first game of the season against ISC Gunners.  The B06 Navy team won the top division in the PSPL last season and are considered one of the top teams in the state.  The boys are returning everyone from the previous season and have many players representing the PSPL Surf Academy.  The boys had one of the best defensive records in the state in their solid defense continued to hold strong over the weekend by grabbing another shutout.  However, the boys couldn’t find the back of the net and the match resulted in a 0-0 against the ISC Gunners A team.  The boys will look to get a win next match against Seattle Celtic.

The B04 Navy team were in action over the weekend at Robinswood park as they took on a quality Seattle Celitc team.  In the rain and wind, the boys were looking to take advantage of the quick surface and get in behind the defense.  Coach Keenan’s strategy paid off as they boys grabbed 3 goals against their defense.  The boys also weathered the storm defensively and were able to keep a clean sheet in the conditions.  The boys started off on a great note and will look to get a result against the Aguilas.

The B03 White Bellevue team had two games over the weekend the boys are continuing to improve.  The boys are competing against some excellent teams, and the boys are staying in every game.  In their last 4 games, the boys have won the second half in every match.  Coach Keegan will look to help the boys maintain a high level of competitiveness in training and also keep the boys playing at a consistent level.  Fischer Dahl has scored in every Spring match so far and will look to keep his impressive goal tally going for the remainder of the season.

Our B02 Navy team had another competitive weekend against some tough opponents.  The boys have been playing hard and have been a little unlucky in the run of play in recent games.  However, the boys are still confident and are passionate about the game.  Coach Keegan is determined to get them back on track and get them some positive results to round out the Spring Season.  The biggest goal for the team is to get them as ready as possible before they head off into their high school season.  The boys have another double header this weekend and will look to capitalize on their opportunity.

To round off the Titan Weekly Report, the B01s also had a double header over the weekend.  On Saturday, the boys faced off against the Gunners A team.  The team was buzzing with activity and intensity.  Everyone was getting involved in the attack and it caught the opposition by surprise. The boys played hard from start to finish and dominated the possession battle.  The boys came out on top 2-1 against a good team.  In their game the following day, the boys ultimately feel short to a good Fury squad.  Coach Javi and the boys will look to improve on some areas in training this week and finish out their season strong.  This concludes the first Weekly Report of February! Go Titans!
